Kindergarten
A place where children love to learn
Kindergarten is an important year. What kids learn in kindergarten helps to build the foundation for lifelong learning. We teach kids how to read and write, how to get along with others, and how to solve problems. But more importantly, we teach kids how to love learning!
Your child will make new friends and have lots of time to play and explore the world around them. We welcome each child at their current level of ability and provide developmentally-appropriate learning activities.

"The kindergarten experience at Rutherford is amazing! My kids love the open-concept classroom
because they can interact with all of the K students, not just ones in their class. And I love that they basically have five K teachers and they are learning great things from each of them."- Kristen Hellyer, Parent
"I love teaching kindergarten because everyday is full of pleasant surprises! These little people are always eager to learn and make each day joyful."
– Kelly Taverna, Kindergarten teacher
